The great thing about your special day, is that it is yours. If you want to get married in a church you can, if you’d prefer a hotel, a barn or a field you can. Your wedding is all about you and your loved one. If you have been hoping for a funkier wedding, instead of something more traditional, then this is a wedding shoot you will love. It’s a rock on styled wedding shoot.
The rock on styled wedding shoot took place during the winter at 52 North Venue, a really cool wedding venue with a brilliant backdrop that can suit many themes. For this wedding shoot the goal was to bring to like the ‘Rock On!’ theme. This meant dark, moody and edgy touches, while staying elegant and sophisticated.
The brides wedding dress was a gorgeous figure hugging and flattering style. The low-cut neckline showed off the brides naturally beautiful skin, as did the back. The gentle A-line skirt fell gently to the floor and suited the bride’s figure really nicely. The black leather jacket worn during the wedding vows gave a really nice nod to theme and bought the wedding theme together well.
The flower bouquet of the bride added to the laid-back style of the wedding, while the dark greens, purples and pinks completed the look for the rock on styled wedding shoot theme. The flowers used also worked perfectly with the season, adding to the natural feel of the wedding.
Wedding décor was kept really simple for this wedding theme and it works really well. The mellow-yellow lightbulbs hung along the walls create a really warm and welcoming feel. This matched with the candles on the table made the venue look really romantic. The dark photo backdrop with fairy lights added to the romance, while giving a strong nod to the rock on theme of the wedding.
The table décor really showed the rock on styled wedding shoot theme. Simple velvet teal and fuchsia runners, matched with rich, dark tones of the fruit on the table. It was the warm and snuggly feel that works so well with winter weddings, while adding to the dark moody tones of the rock on theme.
Food and Drink
Food and drink wise – what a great place to go personal. It is often these personal touches that make your wedding stand out from other weddings. The signature cocktails, matching the colour theme look fantastic. On top of that, who says wedding cakes need to be fruit with white icing? How about this delicious looking cholate and cherry cake?
Many wedding venues will supply the food and not allow you to bring your own food. However, if this is how you would like your wedding to be personal to you, call us. We can recommend wedding venues where you can bring your own food and drink. We can also recommend caterers that can create food and drinks that are unique to the tastes of you and your loved one.
It’s your special day; make sure you have it your way!
