That said, offering lower prices in the winter months can help boost your business around this time of the year, if you want to.

It’s a good idea to contact the married couple a few days after their special day to collect a review of your services on their special day. Use the slower months in business to chase up on the ones you have not heard back from. These recommendations will play a huge role in attracting new couples and building faith and trust for your business.

During the quieter months you can then share photos of previous weddings using the hashtag #ThrowbackThursday. Now you have some down time, why not put the photos into albums of the seasons. This will help spread your business throughout the year and give couples inspiration and ideas of what you do too.

Have a look at all the local wedding fairs in your area and get your name down for them now. This will give you a chance to see who else is attending and to plan out your stand. Again, think about the season of the wedding that the couples will be planning. Ensure that your stand matches this season, so it really appeals to them and attracts them to your stand. You’ll often get an early-bird price too, which can help you save on upcoming wedding fairs. It’s a good idea to touch base with other wedding suppliers that are attending to build relationships. You can then support and recommend each other on the day.

As we have already touched on, now is a great time to offer deals and special packages for off-peak weddings. These deals will help you attract those brides and grooms that don’t want to get married in the summer months or are considering other options. It’s important to prepare these deals in advance. Start promoting them towards the end of the busy season at wedding fairs and continue the promotion on social media as the off-peak season draws nearer.
