The Wedding Venue

The venue for this sustainable white wedding shoot is Rise Hall in Yorkshire. It is a Grade II stately home. The stunning interiors, iconic column entrance and beautiful hedgerows create a traditionally classic and unique wedding venue for this shoot. It’s a fabulous venue for a wedding to be remembered for years to come as your guests are invited to enjoy what feels like your own country home.

The wedding venue is Makeney Hall. It was chosen because it is a long-time favourite of the small group of wedding suppliers. It is also one of the places where many of the wedding suppliers have worked with lots of times in the past. Not only is Makeney hall a fabulous wedding venue with lots to offer, but the management team are also great at this venue too. They are always friendly, welcoming and helpful to couples and wedding suppliers alike. This spring colour wedding shoot covered two areas. One was the beautiful covered outdoor wedding area that is situated in the woodlands. The second area for the wedding shoot were the newly refurbished areas that hadn’t yet been seen by a lot of people.

The Colour Palette

The obvious colour palette for this sustainable white wedding shoot was white, matched with shades of green. This created a natural and seasonal theme for the wedding and enables the landscape surrounding the wedding venue to tie in with the wedding colour palette too. The flowers for this shoot were all sourced locally from a friend’s farm to create a unique wild and free look which was the perfect backdrop for many of the wedding photos.

The Bride

Natural looking waves and gentle twists were created in the bride’s hair, inspired by the venue and the sustainable theme. A romantic look was chosen for the bride’s make-up, which was finished in a radiant, yet natural way to match the look and style of the hair.

How To Create Your Own Sustainable White Wedding

If you are looking to create your own sustainable white wedding, then choose seasonal flowers that can be sourced locally. Think about ways that your bouquet can be dried or preserved after your special day too. You may want to consider pots of herbs or flowers that can be used as decorations at your wedding, then gifts to take away and be replanted after the wedding day.
